1st Place: A Sunny Past by Ong Kah Jing (OKJ)
This video is the 1st Place Winner of the AIC Video Competition 2019. It was produced by Ong Kah Jing (OKJ).
Synopsis:
In light of his parents having suffered from dementia, Sunny Ng decided to recollect the stories of his kampung, the Chye Kay Village, before it was too late.
A graphic book on his kampung would be made, but not by him alone. The act of remembering the past required the help of a community, and the community celebrated Sunny's artistic talents to see such a book be realised.
Through Sunny, a kampung spirit is revitalised and a little more history preserved.
2nd Place: My Grandfather, The Chef by Melissa Lim

Synopsis:
People say it's important to have a full stomach. Others say it's important to have a full heart. With my grandfather, I don't ever have to choose.
Once a head chef, my grandfather has been faithfully feeding the four generations for the past twenty years, bringing people together through his food. Apart from cooking, he adores literature, calligraphy and playing with his great-grandchildren.
His life philosophy is to keep an open mind and an open heart - loving one and all just the same.

A walk to the market, making an effort to say hello to your neighbours, playing checkers and just singing your lungs out at home. Sometimes it’s small things that matter the most. Join the 4 friends in their antics as they go through their (not-so-regular) lives and make the most of living as good neighbours and friends.

Synopsis:
In this 3 minute video, we feature a few active aging stories, to inspire others that they too can participate in such activities.
Such activities help spread the message that the elderly too can contribute to society through their experiences, thus giving a positive message that senior citizens can age gracefully and enjoy their golden years simultaneously.

Mariam Iskandar is a lady who is living inside a photo in a gallery.
She unveils 3 of the biggest secrets she holds to being healthy and independent in her old age. She encourages viewers to always live their lives to the fullest until all that is left are pictorial memories, because what you do with your life now matters.
